Newport Beach Concierge MD is a small practice run by Dr. Gigi Kroll and Dr. Doug McConnaughey, and Aileen Slivkoff has worked with Dr. Kroll since 2008. Patients pay a separate concierge membership fee that buys longer visits and a 24 hour emergency line, and the practice limits how many people it enrolls, though you can also book a single consultation without joining. Hormone care sits in the practice's menopause service, which uses FDA approved hormones, bioidentical and compounded formulations, Biote pellets and non hormonal options. Slivkoff directs the practice's GetSlimly weight program, where she prescribes FDA approved GLP-1 medications and tracks muscle loss with body composition testing rather than handing out what the site calls skinny shots. She came to the practice from labor and delivery nursing, trained in the Harbor-UCLA women's health nurse practitioner program, and she is a Level 1 CrossFit coach who sees fitness and nutrition as the foundation of prevention. Everything is in person at the Newport Center office, and appointments are made by phone.
Dr. Kroll is a board certified OB/GYN who runs a concierge practice in Newport Beach with her husband, an internist. She was the first OB/GYN in Orange County to go concierge. She prescribes estrogen, progesterone and testosterone in many forms, including FDA approved, compounded and pellet options, as well as non-hormonal treatments. Menopause visits also cover screening for osteoporosis, heart disease and muscle loss. New patients can book a single consultation or join for a year, which adds longer visits and a 24 hour line to the doctor. She has been through menopause herself and says that shapes how she talks with patients.
Dr. Howe is a board certified OB/GYN at a small Newport Beach practice she runs with a second OB/GYN and several physician assistants. The practice covers the full span of gynecology, and perimenopause and menopause care sit alongside hormone testing, osteoporosis and bladder problems. Her particular interest is chronic pelvic pain, which she researched at UCLA and treats both medically and surgically. Before moving to Orange County she chaired an OB/GYN department in Ventura County and built a clinic there that included menopause management. She speaks Spanish. Visits are in the office and billed through insurance, and patients without insurance pay at the time of service.
