Dr. Ney co-directs the Women's Clinic at the Akasha Center in Santa Monica, and the center names her as its doctor for women's bioidentical hormone therapy. The first women's visit runs 60 to 90 minutes and covers a full health history, an exam if needed and lab orders. The center gives estrogen only through the skin as a cream or patch and says it never prescribes Provera. Before starting hormones, women need a baseline hormone panel, a pelvic ultrasound and a recent mammogram. Her own work leans heavily on stress and nervous system regulation alongside hormones, and she uses GLP-1 medication for weight when it fits. She sees patients in the office or by video, and patients outside Los Angeles need a local doctor for exams and emergencies.
