Marea MD is a solo, membership-based family medicine practice in central and east San Diego run by Dr. Joyce Ildesa, who pairs primary care with menopause and perimenopause care. Members get thirty to sixty minute visits, direct text, call and email access to the physician, same or next-day response for urgent concerns, and discounted cash-pay labs, with the panel deliberately kept small. Menopause care sticks to evidence-based and FDA-approved treatment. She prescribes hormone therapy when appropriate plus non-hormonal options, and explicitly does not routinely use compounded bioidentical formulations.
