Jane Epstein is a nurse practitioner with more than 35 years in practice who runs Menopause New Mexico, a small Albuquerque clinic for perimenopause and menopause. She is also a certified sexuality counselor, so sexual health gets real attention, including low libido, vaginal dryness and pain with sex. Care starts with an hour-long new patient visit that looks at symptoms, history and risks such as bone and heart health, and treatment can be hormone therapy or non-hormonal options. Visits are in person at the office or by video, and patients message Jane directly through the patient portal for refills and questions. Long-term prescriptions are renewed at a yearly hour-long visit, and Jane will send a short bridging prescription if you run low before it.
