SHEILA Rose BOYLE

Physician · MD, MSCP, ABOM

  • Lone Tree, CO · In person & virtual
  • Self-pay · first visit $150

A solo direct-pay practice in Lone Tree whose stated scope is dermatology, cosmetic procedures and medically supervised weight management. The physician is board certified in dermatology and obesity medicine. Every initial visit is by video, with in-person follow-ups by appointment, and the practice does not bill insurance. Hormone replacement therapy is named only as one reason for a new-patient visit on the fee schedule, and no hormone or menopause care is described anywhere else on the site.

Anne DeGreve

Family medicine · DO, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Madison, WI · In person only
  • Membership · from $50/mo

Empower Wellness is Dr. DeGreve's own clinic in Madison. She treats women through perimenopause and menopause using estrogen, progesterone and testosterone, and the practice also sees men for testosterone therapy. Care starts with one long consultation where she goes through your history and works out a plan with you, and after that you stay on through a monthly plan that covers appointments and messaging her directly. There is a lighter plan for women already settled on hormone therapy, where each follow-up visit is paid for on its own, and the fuller membership runs for a minimum of six months. She is board certified in obesity medicine and lifestyle medicine as well as family medicine, so weight is handled in the same visit instead of sent elsewhere. Her FAQ takes on the old Women's Health Initiative breast cancer worry head on and explains why she thinks estrogen is a reasonable option for many women.

Teresa Walsh

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Honolulu, HI · Online only
  • Self-pay · first visit $300

Gliss Wellness is a virtual-only OB/GYN practice Dr. Walsh co-founded with a second board-certified OB/GYN, and menopause care is its main focus. Care starts with a 30-minute video consultation about your symptoms, and if hormone therapy suits you, you leave with prescriptions for the first three months. A follow-up at three months keeps refills going for the rest of the year, and refills in between happen by message through the patient portal. There is no membership, and you fill prescriptions at your own pharmacy. The doctors can't examine you in person but can order labs and other tests. Dr. Walsh's own interests include pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids and weight loss, and a free 15-minute call lets you meet the team before booking.

Jennifer Tagatz

Women's health · MSN, FNP-BC, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Los Altos Hills, CA · Online only
  • Insurance or self-pay · first visit $250

Jennifer Tagatz sees patients through Midi Health, a national virtual clinic for perimenopause and menopause. Every visit is by video, and Midi's own clinician page names her and has her bio. She spent 20 years providing OB/GYN care at Kaiser Permanente before joining. She says she saw menopausal patients there who had no good source of education, and then went through her own hormone transition in her forties. Her mother was an OB/GYN nurse and her father a fertility specialist, so women's health was dinner table talk. Care at Midi can include hormone and non-hormone prescriptions, labs, supplements and weight medication. New patients book a half-hour first visit online, with short follow-ups after.

Kristen Powell

Family medicine · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Luxemburg, WI · In person only
  • Takes Anthem, Cigna +3

Dr. Powell is a family doctor at Prevea's Luxemburg health center, a small clinic east of Green Bay that shares space with cardiology, orthopedics and physical therapy. She looks after several generations of the same families, and menopause care sits inside that ongoing primary care rather than in a separate clinic. Prevea says she is one of only two clinicians in the whole system with menopause certification, and she is the one covering it on the family medicine side. She has said that the certification matters because there are set guidelines for giving safe care, and that menopause reaches into work and mood as much as into the body. Her own line about how she practices is that listening and taking time with patients is what makes the medical advice worth anything. New patients can book by phone or through the MyPrevea portal, which is also where Prevea runs its virtual visits.

Miranda Zuhlke

Physician assistant · PA-C, MSCP

  • Madison, WI · Online only
  • Self-pay · first visit $395

Miranda Zuhlke runs Midlife Rising, an independent menopause and sexual health practice based in Madison. Care starts with an hour-long virtual consultation that reviews your labs, bone and breast health, and heart risk and ends with a written plan, though no prescriptions come from that visit alone. Ongoing care is a six or twelve month program with messaging, lab reviews, and hormone therapy or GLP-1 medication when it fits, then a yearly visit to review and refill. She is also a certified sex counselor and treats libido and sexual health as part of menopause care rather than an extra. Her doctoral research looked at the myths around hormone therapy, and she is an Army veteran who served in Iraq. New patients start by emailing her.
