About Boulder Menopause
Dr. Swanson is a family physician who runs a small membership menopause practice in Lafayette, and you see her at every visit. Care starts with a 90-minute first visit in the office or by video, then follow-ups every few months while hormones are adjusted. She starts with FDA-approved bioidentical hormones and turns to a compounding pharmacy only when the cost, dose or form doesn't suit. She prescribes testosterone and works with oncologists to offer hormone therapy to women who have had breast or ovarian cancer. Medical questions are handled at visits rather than by email. New patients are currently booking about six weeks out.
