Jennifer Griffin

Integrative medicine · MD, ABOIM, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Roseville, CA · In person & virtual
  • Self-pay

Bloom Wellness MD is Dr. Griffin's own integrative practice in Roseville, built around perimenopause and menopause care. She spent 10 years in family medicine and 11 years in integrative and functional medicine at Sutter Health before opening it, and she is fellowship trained at the University of Arizona's Andrew Weil Center. Her first choice for hormone therapy is FDA-approved bioidentical products such as estradiol patches, gels, sprays and rings, and she turns to compounded hormones only when a commercial product cannot meet a patient's dosing or ingredient needs. The practice does not provide primary care or urgent care, so you need to keep your own primary care physician. New patients can book a free 15-minute call first, and the initial visit runs a full hour. A certified health coach is available for optional one-on-one sessions on nutrition and elimination diets.

Amy Cantor

Family medicine · MD, MPH, MSCP, FAAFP

Not accepting new patients
  • Portland, OR · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Cigna +26

Dr. Cantor is a family physician in the primary care division at the OHSU Center for Women's Health in Portland. She sees women and girls from age 12 onward and provides general primary care alongside menopause care. Her OHSU profile lists women's health and menopause as her clinical focus, and she became a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner in 2024. The clinic treats menopause symptoms as part of primary care and can refer patients to a separate menopause specialty clinic at the same center. OHSU describes hormone therapy given as pills, patches, gels, sprays or vaginal forms, and non-hormonal options such as SERMs and low dose antidepressants. She is also a senior investigator at the OHSU evidence based practice center, where her reviews have informed national women's health guidelines.

Isabelle Cohen

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Berkeley, CA · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Anthem +18

Dr. Cohen is an OB-GYN with Sutter East Bay Medical Group, seeing patients at the Adeline Care Center in Berkeley and at a second office in Richmond. Her own philosophy of care names symptoms of menopause along with abnormal bleeding, fibroids, endometriosis and pregnancy care, so menopause sits inside a full obstetrics and gynecology practice rather than a dedicated menopause clinic. She directs the OB-GYN residency program at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center and is board certified in obesity medicine as well as obstetrics and gynecology, which is worth knowing if weight is part of what you want help with. Unusually for this health system, her own page publishes the list of plans she takes. Video visits are offered to existing patients only, so a first appointment has to be in person.

Kathryne Sanserino

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Palo Alto, CA · In person only
  • Takes Medicare Advantage

Dr. Sanserino is a Stanford gynecologist who directs its gynecology survivorship and high-risk program. Much of her work is with women who have had cancer or carry a BRCA gene, including menopause brought on early by chemotherapy or surgery. She is used to managing menopause symptoms in women with hormone-sensitive breast cancer, where estrogen may not be safe, and to treating vaginal and bladder symptoms caused by tamoxifen or aromatase inhibitors. She also sees women for ordinary perimenopause and menopause through Stanford's Menopause and Healthy Aging Program, along with sexual health concerns. She speaks fluent Spanish. Visits are at the Stanford gynecology clinic in Palo Alto and are booked through Stanford Health Care.

Leslie Meserve

Internal medicine · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Newport Beach, CA · In person & virtual
  • Membership

Dr. Meserve is an internist who started Framework Health and has practiced in Newport Beach since 2004. It is a small concierge practice, and menopause care is part of the general membership rather than a separate program. She treats the effects of estrogen loss in women and low testosterone in men, and she frames her work around healthy aging, with sleep, heart risk and memory alongside hormones. Hormone therapy is used where it fits and alternatives where it does not. New patients start with a free 15 minute phone call. She sees patients in the Fashion Island office or by video, and her longtime office manager has worked with her since 2008.

Lorena Hillman

Integrative medicine · MD, MSCP

Not accepting new patients
  • San Francisco, CA · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Anthem +16

Dr. Hillman is an integrative and functional medicine physician at Sutter's Pacific Heights Care Center in San Francisco. She sees adults and works on hormone imbalances along with thyroid and adrenal problems, perimenopause and menopause, food sensitivities, digestive issues and cardiometabolic health. Her own page says she has special interest or training in bio-identical hormone balancing and in specialty laboratory testing meant to reveal problems that standard testing misses. She looks for the underlying cause of symptoms rather than treating them one at a time. She has practiced meditation for 30 years in a tradition that combines mindfulness and compassion, and she offers it to patients who want it. Her panel is closed right now, and the video visits she offers are for existing patients only.

Sharon Hung

Internal medicine · MD, FACP, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Santa Clara, CA · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Anthem +24

Hung is an internal medicine doctor at Stanford's primary care clinic in Santa Clara, where she sees perimenopausal and menopausal patients in PeriWell, a clinic she runs inside the practice. She is the Director of Women's Health for Stanford's primary care department and co-directs the university's annual menopause conference for clinicians. Alongside menopause care she works on bone health and midlife weight gain, and she leads group visits every other month on preventing and treating osteoporosis. The clinic keeps a care coordinator in the room during each visit to take notes and handle referrals afterwards, and it has a dietitian, pharmacist, physical therapist and behavioral health clinician onsite. New patients can book a first appointment online, and video and phone visits are offered. She speaks Mandarin as well as English.

Saroja Dandamudi

Internal medicine · MD, MSCP

Not accepting new patients
  • Santa Clara, CA · In person & virtual
  • Takes Aetna, Anthem +18

Dandamudi practices at Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group's East Santa Clara Care Center and sees adults only. Most of her listed work is general internal medicine, things like annual physicals, blood pressure and diabetes, with menopause care alongside it. She is board certified in obesity medicine, and that shapes what she says she focuses on in menopause. Her stated interests are weight gain, sexual dysfunction, bone health, and menopause care for cancer survivors. Her panel is closed to new patients, and the people she already sees schedule visits through Sutter's My Health Online portal, where video visits are an option. She writes that she wants to know patients as a whole person and to build long term relationships rather than fix one problem at a time.

Susan Maayah

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Accepting new patients
  • Burlingame, CA · In person only
  • Takes Aetna, Anthem +19

Dr. Maayah is an OB-GYN with Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group and sees patients at the Mills-Peninsula Family Birth Center in Burlingame and at a second office in Daly City. Her practice covers all of women's health, from a teenager's first periods through pregnancy and childbirth and on into perimenopause and menopause. She names hormone therapy, bioidentical hormones and post-menopausal treatment among what she does, and a large share of her listed work is gynecologic surgery. Minimally invasive surgery is her stated professional interest, because she wants women back to their usual routine with little recovery time. Visits are in person only, and a new patient starts by calling the office rather than booking online. She speaks fluent Hindi and Urdu along with conversational Spanish, and she is a long distance runner outside of work.

Sharon Y. De Edwards

OB-GYN · MD, FACOG, MSCP

  • Pittsburg, CA · In person & virtual
  • Takes insurance

Dr. de Edwards is a general obstetrician-gynecologist who says she has practiced gynecology since 1983. Menopause management and female sexuality are the two areas she names as her subspecialties. She also does routine gynecology and pregnancy care with delivery, so this is not a menopause-only office. It is her own small practice in the Gladstone Medical Park building in Pittsburg. Her site does not say which menopause treatments she prescribes. She writes short blog posts on menopause symptoms and on early menopause after chemotherapy, radiation or removal of the ovaries.

Dr. Johansen runs a small concierge internal medicine practice in Palo Alto and limits how many members she takes. Members pay a recurring fee and can reach her directly by cell, email or text at any hour. Same-day visits happen in the office, virtually or at home. Menopause care sits inside her general primary care and preventive work, and the site describes preventive care for women through the menopausal transition and beyond. She spent more than twelve years on the Stanford medicine faculty. The site does not say which hormone treatments she prescribes.

Its Our Providers page lists thirty six doctors and she is not among them, the site search returns no result for her, and no bio page exists for her while other clinicians' bios load normally. No other current practice could be found for her.

Pantea Pahlavan

OB-GYN · MD, CMP, MSCP

  • Fairfield, CA · In person & virtual

Green Valley Women's Health is Dr. Pahlavan's own gynecology office in Fairfield. She covers routine gynecologic care, first trimester obstetrics and menopause care, and her services page names menopausal hormone therapy. Surgery is what sets her apart. She finished a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and does hysteroscopic, laparoscopic, robotic and office based procedures, so fibroids and endometriosis get treated rather than referred out. She also offers MonaLisa Touch vaginal laser. She has practiced in Solano County and the East Bay since 2003. The site is three pages and gives no way to book online, so a new patient has to call or text the office.

Annapurna Bobba

OB-GYN · MD, MSCP

Anna Bobba is a board-certified OB-GYN with more than 20 years of experience. Her solo practice in Beverly Hills covers menopause and perimenopause, weight and metabolic health, and lifestyle medicine. She says she started it after watching women get one-size-fits-all treatment for menopause and weight problems. Hormone therapy and non-hormonal options are both offered, and weight care includes FDA-approved medications and a body composition analysis. Visits can be in person, by video, as house calls, or as a concierge service. The site does not publish prices, insurance or online booking, so a new patient starts with a consult by phone or email.

Dr. Kornreich is a board certified OB-GYN in private practice in Beverly Hills and is on staff at Cedars-Sinai. She sees women of all ages but says she has a dedicated interest in perimenopause and menopause, and she has been a certified menopause clinician since 2001. A first visit starts with a full history and a physical exam, then any labs, bone density testing or imaging she thinks are needed. Hormone therapy comes in several forms, including pharmaceutical patches, gels and pills as well as compounded creams and capsules. She also offers the MonaLisa Touch vaginal laser as a non-hormonal option for vaginal dryness and painful sex. Appointments are made by phone.

Heather Warren

Integrative medicine · MD, MSCP

  • Redding, CA · In person only

Intentional Wellness Center is a small Redding practice led by two physicians, Dr. Warren and Dr. McClelland, and hormone care sits alongside weight management and the center's aesthetic and surgical work. For menopause they use bioidentical hormones given as pellets, creams, injections or capsules, picked after a full lab panel and a symptom review. The first consultation runs about an hour, labs are rechecked around week six and then yearly, and pellet appointments come round every four to six months. Follow-ups are monthly in the first few months and spread out once things are steady. Women need an up to date mammogram and gynecological exam before they can start hormone therapy. There is no online booking, so a new patient starts by calling or emailing the office.

  • Insurance or self-pay

Dr. Lepine opened the Cottage Ob/Gyn Clinic in Santa Barbara in 2023 and ran it as medical director, and Cottage Health still described her in that role in February 2025. In June 2026 Cottage Health named a different physician medical director of that clinic, and the announcement does not mention Dr. Lepine. She is no longer named on the clinic's provider team page, she does not appear anywhere in Cottage Health's physician directory, and her Cottage profile page has been taken down. Before Santa Barbara she practiced obstetrics and gynecology at Kaiser in Kona, Hawaii, and did relief work for PeaceHealth in Washington and Alaska. She trained at UC San Diego and then did an Epidemic Intelligence Service fellowship at the CDC, which is unusual for a practicing gynecologist, and she speaks Spanish. We could not find a current practice for her, so there is no way to tell a reader how to reach her today.
